Resveratrol is a non-flavonoid polyphenolic compound that is an antitoxin produced by many plants when stimulated. It can be synthesized in grape leaves and grape skins, and is a biologically active ingredient in wine and grape juice. It is easily absorbed orally and excreted in urine and feces after metabolism. Function
