Stevioside is a sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana.
Stevioside is white or light yellow powder with properties of natural, good taste and odorless.
Stevioside has unique properties of high sweetness, low calorie and fresh taste. Its sweetness is 200-400 times sweeter than that of sucrose, but only 1/300 calorie of it.
Stevioside is quite stable in heat processing, acid/alkali solution and does not contribute to Maillard reaction of cooked or baked food. It can better improve the taste quality of the food so as to upgrade the quality and grade of products.
